History
National PTA was chartered in New York in 1897. The first PTA chapter in Oregon was chartered in 1905. Harrison Park PTA was founded when Harrison Park School was built in 1950.

Meet The Board
Our board members are unpaid parent volunteers elected by a quorum of our paying members. We are required to have a President, Treasurer and Secretary. Each board member is required to complete approximately 6 hours of general and role-specific training each year. Board terms are two years in length and staggered to ensure continuity and stability. We follow the guidelines of Oregon PTA and National PTA.
